Why is it the Dems can say in 2008

Yet in 2019, when Trump says

They oppose him?
Why is it that Republicans vainly voted eight times
To repeal and replace Obamacare
When Obama was President
And the Dems controlled Congress,
Yet when the opportunity came under Trump,
With Republicans controlling both houses of Congress,
They could not do so?
Why is there such inconsistency?
If something is true and good,
Why not act in favor of it?
Is something is evil and harmful,
Why not do all in your power to eliminate it?
Is it hypocritical to say one thing
And to the opposite?
If we are saved by grace and not by works,
What difference would it make what anyone does?
If saying merely “I believe” is sufficient,
Are we exempt from obeying God’s commands?
Can the Catholic Democrat proclaim his faith in God,
While advocating for the right to kill the unborn children of God?
Can the rich Republican drop his money in the plate
And then pass banking laws that oppress the poor?
Can the pastor live in a mansion,
While he asks for the poor man to give his "last mite?"
Does poverty exempt the pauper from the punishment for theft?
Does the desire for love and acceptance justify concupiscence?
Can you believe the Bible to be God's word,
And justify gay marriage?
Does God forgive the unrepentant?
What are the fruits of repentance?
What happens if we do not repent and change?
Do beliefs and actions matter? Are they
Interconnected?
Can you have living faith without works?
Is truth always consistent?
Then, shouldn’t we be?
